Our Annual Jambalaya

The Brothers wish to extend to all of the volunteers, our most heartfelt thanks for making our jambalaya 2007 such a huge success, may God bless each and every one of you who helped with the food, cooking, serving the food and

for all of you who bought tickets and who donated money and who worked tirelessly selling tickets.  We want to thank Marshal Picard for his untiring efforts to help support the retired Brothers here at Magnolia.  Thanks to the Bob Guchereau Combo for furnishing the lovely music for us to enjoy as we ate.  All of you have our everlasting gratitude.

  • Brother Samuel Martinez has been transferred to Santa Fe, New Mexico and assigned to the College Community where he will assist with the care of the elderly Brothers of that community.  We wish Brother Samuel well in his new assignment.

  • Brother Linus Richard who is residing at Amelia Manor Nursing Home fell and broke his leg and is presently undergoing therapy at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.  Brother Linus seems to be in good spirits as he undergoes therapy for the break in his leg.

  • The Brothers of our community enjoyed a visit recently from our Vicar General Brother Bill Mann, we all enjoyed his presence with us even though his stay was very short.

  • The Brothers were saddened with the deaths of Brothers Eugene Biederman, Raphael Bonin, Cassian Lange, and Brendan Wilkinson, may they rest in peace.

  • Our chaplain Fr. Luis Dutra has returned from his visit to Brazil.  Every year Fr. Dutra returns to Brazil to work as a substitute in many parishes, we are all happy that he  has returned.  We wish to than all of the priests who substituted for him in his absence.
